TONIGHT WAS AWESOME!!!

Everything went great for me tonight!!! I delivered my lines great, my voice projection was great, my facial expressions were great, my acting was great. No mistakes at all. I hope every night will be like tonight. I will definitely try my best to give a great performance everytime. All the actors, singers, and dancers also had a great night! We got a standing ovation. It feels so good to see the audience stand up and applaud! Theater can be very cool sometimes.

Opening Night

Last night was opening night! I got cards and flowers---a lot of encouragement:) I was kind of nervous. It IS my acting debut. I was not a junior theatre kid. I never acted on stage before. I got chosen because the director thinks I have the right look for this part. He also thinks I will play the part well. Otherwise he would not have given me the contract. Interesting story how I got started in live musical theater: I was working at my bank one day. The director came up to me and asked me, "Do you act?" I said,"I don't, but I can." So he told me to go to the audition. That's how it all started. My first experience in theater is a principal role---pretty COOL!

Opening night was great! I had a great time! I made one my mistake: I paused half a second between my lines near the end. I continued and finished delivering the last lines of the show---yes, I get to say the last lines in the show. Quite cool!

Tonight will be much better.

The Prince is Ready

I've been spending a lot of time rehearsing with the other 40 cast members of the play. We rehearsed for 10 hours on Saturday and 10 hours on Sunday! Tonight we had a rehearsal with costumes on. My costume is pretty cool---very shiny with golden threads all over. Tomorrow night we will rehearse in costume and with the orchestra. We all have made such a big progress. I know I'm ready for the opening show on Friday night. It will be a wonderful show!

Almost Showtime!

Tonight we rehearsed for 4 hours! This was the first time that we did the entire play. Everyone did a great job! I delivered my lines pretty well. I forgot a word or two, but I will memorize my lines some more tonight. No more help with lines tomorrow---Yikes! Tomorrow and Sunday are all-day rehearsals. No time for fun this weekend...LOL Theater is really hard work. I'm learning so much every day. I'm very glad I challenged myself to be a part of this play.

The King and I

A few days ago I met the entire cast of the show. Up until then I was rehearsing with children and the actress who plays the role of Anna. I finally met the actor who plays my father, the king. He is a very cool man who has done this play many times. All the major actors in this play are very talented and have incredible singing voices. The dancers are pretty amazing, too. I'm very happy that I decided to try out theater---this is my first stage performance! Only 8 consecutive days of rehearsal left!!!

Awesome Weekend!

Club Asia was awesome! The club was packed. The energy was great! There were 6 dancers last night---we all had a great time! I know I did. Saw quite a few of my friends. Saw quite a few of my fans also. One fan brought a copy of my Hawaiian photobook for me to sign. That was cool. The music selection was great. I danced all night long on my favorite boxes. There were plenty of admirers, and I loved all the attention. It was one of my best nights of gogo-dancing!

Today I had a very relaxing massage and rejuvenating facial at the spa in the Newport Beach Marriott. It felt wonderful. I need that every weekend...lol

Tomorrow I will be going to a rehearsal for the play "The King and I". I've been going to a few rehearsals in the last two weeks. I'm playing the role of Prince Chululongkorn---the oldest son of the king. I know most of my lines. Still have a few more to memorize. So far, my experience being part of a theater production has been fun, challenging, and enriching. Stay tuned...

Fun Weekend

Yesterday I went to a tanning salon in Hillcrest. Then I went to a very cool hair salon in La Jolla (Model Call Salon). Tonight I'm going to work out very hard at the gym. Just want to look my best tomorrow night. I will be gogo-dancing at Club Asia in Orange County. I had fun dancing there last month. I'm looking forward to having lots of fun tomorrow night! I miss dancing on a box...lol. I guess I just like to be the center of attention---sometimes.

Sunday, a friend of mine and I will be going to a very nice spa to get facials and massages! Yay! It sure is nice to get pampered once in a while :) I can't wait!

Have a FUN weekend, everyone!
